Metal structured packing delivers a predictable, high-efficiency
contact surface between gas and liquid phases while keeping
hydraulic resistance low. Compared with random packing or tray
systems, structured packings use ordered corrugated sheets to form
uniform flow channels, producing consistent vapor/liquid
distribution and reduced channeling. For retrofit and new column
designs alike, this results in shorter packed heights to achieve
the same separation duty, saving column space and reducing material
and installation costs in compact process units.
Geometry, Surface Area and Hydrodynamics
Our portfolio includes a range of corrugation geometries and stack
orientations tuned for specific throughput and separation targets.
Specific surface area typically ranges from 350 to 900 m²/m³
depending on corrugation pitch and sheet thickness; corrugation
heights from 6 mm (fine) to 50 mm (coarse) allow optimized
performance across low to high vapor velocities. The structured
geometry encourages thin liquid films and repeated contacting
events, improving mass transfer coefficients while controlling
pressure drop. Performance maps and vendor data are provided for
scale-up and simulation integration.

Choice of metallurgy and surface finish is key for longevity in
aggressive environments. SS316L and Alloy 625 are common for
sulfide and chloride-bearing streams; PTFE or ceramic linings
extend life in strongly acidic services. Electropolishing reduces
fouling tendency and eases cleaning; ceramic coatings improve
erosion resistance in particulate-laden streams. We support
material selection studies, offering corrosion rate data,
compatibility matrices and life-cycle projections so engineering
teams can make informed total-cost decisions.
Integration, Installation & Support Services
Structured packing modules are supplied in pre-cut panels or
modular blocks for rapid installation. We provide sealing rings,
distributor and collector recommendations, and CAD drawings showing
pack orientation, hold-down details and support ring specs. For
project orders we offer on-site support during first installation,
performance validation tests, and post-installation tuning
(redistribution trays, liquid loading adjustments). Packaging is by
pallet/carton/wooden crate depending on size; lead times vary by
material and quantity (typical 10–35 days). Samples, technical data
sheets, and performance curves are available on request.
