Containerized/skid-mounted seawater desalination equipment | Ultrafiltration + RO dual membrane method · Fully automatic operation

This equipment utilizes mature reverse osmosis (RO) technology combined with an ultrafiltration (UF) pretreatment system, specifically designed for seawater with high salinity, high turbidity, and high microbial risk. After pre-filtration and ultrafiltration precision filtration, seawater enters the high-pressure RO membrane system for desalination, ultimately producing freshwater that meets World Health Organization (WHO) standards. The entire system can be integrated into containers or skids, allowing for quick installation and easy operation. It is widely used for water supply in islands, ocean-going vessels, drilling platforms, coastal villages and towns, and emergency rescue operations.

core components

Pre-filter: Multi-media filter (quartz sand/manganese sand) or self-cleaning filter to remove silt, suspended solids, shells, and large particles from seawater.

Ultrafiltration (UF) system: Hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane with a filtration accuracy of 0.010.1 microns, effectively removing colloids, bacteria, viruses, and large organic molecules, ensuring an RO membrane feed water SDI3 and significantly extending RO membrane lifespan.

High-pressure RO reverse osmosis system: Desalination-specific RO membrane (high desalination rate, pressure resistance800 psi), high-pressure pump (316L stainless steel), energy recovery device (optional), desalination rate up to 99.5% or higher.

Freshwater tank: PE or stainless steel, used to store produced freshwater, with automatic start/stop equipment controlled by liquid level.

Cleaning and control system: Online flushing/chemical cleaning device; PLC fully automatic control, touch screen human-machine interface, enabling one-button start/stop, parameter monitoring, and fault alarms.

Working principle

Pretreatment: Seawater passes through a pre-filter to remove large particles before entering the ultrafiltration system to remove bacteria, colloids, and finer suspended solids, ensuring the quality of the RO feed water.

High-Pressure Reverse Osmosis (RO): The pretreated seawater is pressurized by a high-pressure pump and enters the RO membrane module. Water molecules pass through the RO membrane to become freshwater, while salts, heavy metals, bacteria, etc., are retained on the concentrate side and discharged.

Production and Storage: Freshwater is disinfected and then enters the freshwater tank. The equipment automatically enters standby mode when the tank level is high and automatically starts producing water when the level is low.

Automatic Flushing: The RO membrane undergoes low-pressure flushing each time it is started or stopped, or at regular intervals, to prevent salt crystallization and biofouling.
