This electroplated CBN grinding wheel is produced by electroplating a single layer of cubic boron nitride abrasive onto a precision steel core with a durable nickel bond. As a result, the electro CBN wheel keeps a very sharp cutting edge, grinds hard steel with low heat, and removes material fast without burning or deforming the workpiece. It is an ideal replacement for an Amber CBN grinding wheel when sharpening woodturning tools, chisels, planer blades, knives, drills and other HSS or carbide edges.
