The brake light switch is installed on the brake pedal and is the switch that controls the brake light. The brake light switch is installed on the brake pedal bracket. When the brake pedal is pressed, the switch is turned on, notifying the ECU that the brake has been applied, releasing the torque converter lock clutch, and lighting the brake light at the same time. It can also prevent the engine from suddenly shutting down when the drive wheel is locked.
