WIFI CERTIFIED
What is WIFI CERTIFIED
WIFI CERTIFIED
Wi-Fi CERTIFIED is an internationally recognized product
certification standard that indicates that a product has met
industry-recognized standards for interoperability, security, and a
range of application-specific protocols. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED products
have been rigorously tested at one of our independent authorized
test laboratories. When a product successfully passes the test, the
manufacturer or distributor is authorized to use the Wi-Fi
CERTIFIED logo. Certification means that a product has been tested
in various configurations with other devices, and the devices used
for testing must be extracted in different ways to prove that the
product has interoperability with other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED devices
operating in the same frequency band.
A wide range of consumer, enterprise and operator-specific
products, including smartphones, home appliances, computers and
peripherals, network infrastructure and consumer electronics, can
be certified. At the retail end, the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo can give
consumers confidence that the product can provide a good user
experience and meet industry standards. Service providers and
enterprise IT managers specify that products must be Wi-Fi
CERTIFIED to reduce support costs and provide assurance that
products meet industry-agreed requirements. Only companies that are
members of the Wi-Fi Alliance can perform product certification
testing and use the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo and related trademarks.

For companies to qualify as associate members, a full member or
sponsor level member company must directly or indirectly (1)
control the affiliate company; (2) be controlled by the affiliate
company; or (3) be under common control with the affiliate company
(the same non-member company must control both the member company
