The guide pillar is a guiding part used in the mold and matched with the guide sleeve, which plays a guiding role. Generally, it is used in occasions with high precision requirements for molds. If it is used together with fine positioning parts (taper fine positioning pin, quick taper fine positioning, etc.), the alignment and positioning of the cavity will be more precise.
The guide pin is usually made of bearing steel and die steel. Bearing steel GCr15 is a kind of high-carbon chromium bearing steel, which has high hardness, uniformity and wear resistance after quenching and hardening. It is the most widely used bearing steel because of its ability to harden to HRC55 and high carbon wear resistance. High hardness, wear resistance but not high temperature resistance, suitable for various bearing rings and rolling elements. It is also used to manufacture molds and measuring tools, including guide pins and ejector pins of various molds.
