Description:

Under humid or contaminated conditions, electrical insulation between live parts of opposite polarity or between live parts and grounded metal components may degrade, leading to leakage currents. This can cause arcing, material erosion, short circuits, or even ignition.
This tester simulates such conditions to evaluate the relative resistance of insulating materials to tracking under electric stress and contaminated water exposure. It applies to solid insulating materials and products in electrical/electronic equipment and household appliances, such as relay sockets, switch covers, and contactor housings.
