A forged thread coupling is a type of pipe fitting manufactured through the forging process, featuring internal threads (NPT) at both ends. Its primary function is to connect two pieces of externally threaded pipe of the same nominal size in a straight run, providing a pressure-tight mechanical joint without welding.
