R100.30-ZS ABB Compact 24VDC Source Output Module

R100.30-ZS is a slim, 8-channel source output module for ABB’s R100 modular I/O system.
Each channel delivers 24 VDC at up to 0.5 A, with full short-circuit protection and 1 ms update time.
The module snaps onto any R100 base-unit and connects to AC 500-eCo, AC 800M or third-party PLCs via EtherCAT, Modbus-TCP or PROFINET—ideal for conveyor, packaging and HVAC applications.

6. Installation & Start-up

Snap module onto R100 base until latch clicks.
Wire outputs – use 0.5 mm² Cu, torque 0.2 N·m; earth shield at panel.
Connect bus – RJ-45 for EtherCAT; green “LNK” LED = sync OK.
Configure PLC – import ESI file, set cycle time 1 ms, map %Q addresses.
Test channel – force output ON, measure 24 V at terminal; check diagnostic bit.
