Unlike a linear actuator, which drives the movement of the solar tracker, a solar damper controls and stabilizes that movement. In utility-scale solar tracking projects, dampers are typically installed at key structural positions where higher wind loads may occur, helping the entire tracking system operate more smoothly, safely, and reliably.
