The XT-02D is available with 2, 3, or 4 needles and can be upgraded later. Designed as a stand-alone machine, it can be integrated into production lines with appropriate configuration.

The XT-02D Platform can work with the following product types:

• Inner straight slot stators
• Inner skewed slot stators
• Outer stators (straight and skewed slot)
• Upper routing configurations
• Lower routing configurations

All types can be manufactured by switching between different programs and tooling during changeover.

Winding operation is achieved through interpolation of the needle head with the rotating spindle. Each winding set is completely independent with the following advantages:

• Machine scalability (adding winding sets)
• Individual activation/deactivation of each winding set
• High dynamic performance with low inertia
• Simplified winding set alignment

Additional features include layering axes for external/internal stator winding and wire routing/wrapping through X and Y axis interpolation.

Wire guide tube positioning is a key aspect of the XT-02D's configuration. The standard configuration features a fixed horizontal wire guide tube, with an optional motorized tilting movement available for both upper and lower routing operations. This tilting movement can be programmed to any position between +90° to -70°.

Needle winding is the preferred process for producing internally or externally wound stators or rotors with complex winding schemes and pole chains. During needle winding, the needle (nozzle) feeding the wire moves horizontally or vertically along the pole, effectively "circling" the pole to wind it.

This method offers superior flexibility compared to other winding techniques. XINGTE's needle winding machines can process multiple different products simultaneously in the same machine, achieving high operating speeds while maintaining process reliability.

Proper wire tension is essential for winding quality. XINGTE machines feature tensioners positioned close to the winding process, next to the needle. The system can accommodate two different types of tensioners per head to manage various wire tension ranges, enabling fast retooling and extended wire range capability.

The stator remains stationary during winding. All needle movements are motorized, programmable, and managed in direct drive mode (no cam systems, belts, or lead screws).
