Drone-Based Methane Leak Detection for Natural Gas Pipelines and Industrial Inspection

The AiLF U10 is a lightweight UAV-mounted laser methane detector designed for remote methane leak detection from drones.

Using laser absorption spectroscopy, the U10 detects methane (CH₄) from the air and provides fast, real-time measurements. It is designed for natural gas pipeline inspection, oil & gas facilities, industrial safety, landfill monitoring, and emergency gas leak detection.

The U10 is compatible with DJI M400 and M350 Series UAVs and supports remote inspection of areas that are difficult, dangerous, or time-consuming to access from the ground.

How It Works

The U10 is mounted on a compatible UAV and performs remote methane measurements during flight. Operators can monitor methane concentration in real time and adjust the UAV/gimbal position to inspect suspected leak locations.

The system can also record inspection data and visualize methane measurements along the flight route, supporting more efficient aerial gas leak surveys.

Software and Data Management

The U10 can work with the ADA software application for flight mission planning, flight-path monitoring, real-time methane concentration monitoring, anomaly marking, and inspection report generation.

Inspection data, records, and video can be stored and exported for further analysis and reporting.
