(2) US ANSI Series Standards

US building hardware standards emphasize safety, durability and compatibility. Core standards include:
  • ANSI A156.1: Performance requirements for door and window hardware
  • ANSI A156.2: Performance requirements for hinges
  • ANSI A156.115: Safety standard for smart locks
  • ANSI B117.1: Salt spray corrosion test standard
