Excellent Sealing Internally Fed Drum Screen Wear-Resistant Easy Maintenance
Brief Description
The equipment boasts excellent overall sealing, effectively controlling dust leakage and meeting environmental protection and safety production requirements. Core components are made of highly wear-resistant materials, coupled with a convenient maintenance structure, significantly reducing downtime for maintenance. Suitable for screening damp, sticky, or easily dusty materials, it is a reliable choice for modern industrial screening processes.

Product Overview
Our In-Channel Fine Screen, also referred to as an Internally Fed Drum Screen, is a robust and reliable screening solution built for long-term operation in municipal and industrial wastewater facilities. Designed to fit seamlessly into narrow or deep channels, it delivers consistent fine screening performance with minimal maintenance. By effectively capturing fine particles, fibrous materials, and suspended solids, it safeguards critical downstream equipment including membrane bioreactors, UV disinfection systems, and filtration membranes, ensuring stable and uninterrupted process flow.
Working Principle
Wastewater flows horizontally from the inlet channel into the interior of the rotating drum screen. As liquid passes outward through the precision screen openings (usually 0.5–6 mm), suspended solids and fibrous materials are trapped inside the basket. Driven by both water flow and drum rotation, the captured residues are lifted to the upper section, where high-pressure spray nozzles (supplied with treated effluent or fresh water) wash them into a central collecting trough. A screw conveyor or comparable conveying device then removes the collected solids, while clarified filtrate discharges from the open end of the drum.

Key Design & Performance Features
*Compact, Space-Saving Design: The entire unit is installed directly within the channel,
requiring minimal civil works and no additional footprint outside
the channel. This makes it ideal for plant upgrades or locations
with severe space limitations.
*Superior Fine Screening Efficiency: With screen apertures as fine as 0.5 mm, it achieves high removal
rates of fine solids, hairs, fibers, and other small debris that
traditional bar screens miss, significantly improving downstream
process performance.
*Gentle Yet Effective Cleaning: The internally fed design and pressurized spray wash ensure
thorough cleaning of the screen panels without aggressive brushing,
reducing wear and tear and preventing blinding for consistent flow.
*Low Hydraulic Head Loss: The optimized flow path and large screening surface area result in
very low head loss through the unit, saving energy on upstream
pumping.
*Robust & Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Key components like the drum screen panels, main shaft, and
collection trough are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel
(e.g., SS304, SS316) for maximum durability in corrosive wastewater
environments.
*Fully Automated & Intelligent Operation: Features a programmable logic controller (PLC) for fully automatic
operation. It can integrate with plant-wide control systems and
includes alarms for high differential pressure, ensuring reliable,
hands-off performance.
Applications
*WWTP Fine Screening: Acts as a key primary treatment step to protect downstream MBR
systems, UV disinfection units, and advanced tertiary filtration
equipment.
*Industrial Pre‑Treatment: Ideal for food processing, pulp and paper, and textile facilities
to effectively recover fibers and remove particulate contaminants.
*CSO & Stormwater Management: Efficiently eliminates fine pollutants from combined sewer
overflows and stormwater runoff.
*Water Reuse Facilities: Serves as an essential pretreatment process to ensure high-quality
effluent for water recycling and reuse applications.
