Description:

The Bently Nevada 3500/22M Transient Data Interface (TDI) is a module for a 3500 rack. It acts as the link between the monitoring system and a computer with special software. Its main job is to collect both normal and detailed transient machine data and send it over an Ethernet cable to the host computer.

The Bently Nevada 3500/22M is installed in Slot 1, right next to the power supplies. Every 3500 rack needs one TDI or a similar module in this slot. The TDI works with the monitors in the rack to gather data continuously, but it does not affect the main protective alarm functions of the system.

To also capture dynamic and high-resolution waveform data, an optional Channel Enabling Disk is needed. This allows the system to provide more detailed information for analysis and maintenance planning.
