The HCPL-2300/HCPL-0300 is an 8 MBd low input current optocoupler designed for isolated logic and data communication circuits. It features an 820 nm AlGaAs LED with fast rise and fall times at low drive currents, making it suitable for RS-232-C interfaces requiring ground loop isolation and improved common mode rejection. This optocoupler offers guaranteed low input thresholds (IF = 0.5 mA, VF 1.5 V) and high-speed operation (guaranteed 5 MBd over temperature). Its versatile compatibility with TTL, LSTTL, and CMOS logic, combined with an internal shield for guaranteed common mode rejection and an open collector output with an optional integrated pull-up resistor, provides design flexibility. The device is guaranteed for static and dynamic performance from -40C to 85C and is available with various safety approvals.
