The BYD Song PLUS Front Left Door Assembly is a driver-side door accessory developed specifically for this vehicle model. Precision-molded using original vehicle data, it fits Song PLUS DM-i and EV all series models from 2020 to 2025.

Always disconnect the negative terminal of the low-voltage battery before operation to prevent short circuits or fault codes during harness handling. The front left door integrates the window switch, door lock motor, speaker, and welcome light. Disconnect power before unplugging any connectors.
The door panel has three screws to remove. The first is located inside the inner handle cover. Pry open the cover with a small flathead screwdriver and remove it with a 10mm socket. The second is under the rubber pad at the hook location. Lift the pad with a screwdriver to reveal it, then remove with a 10mm socket. The third is inside the cover at the small notch. Insert a screwdriver into the notch and pull down to open the cover, then remove with a 10mm socket.
After removing all three screws, start pulling outward from one side of the panel. The first removal may be tight, but there is no need to worry about breaking it. Pull the upper row of clips in sequence, applying even force to separate the entire panel from the door.
After separating the panel, disconnect the following connectors in sequence: tweeter speaker connector (press the small clip and pull), handle pull ring (push the plastic part out to remove), window regulator connector (pull the small clip to disconnect), and welcome light connector (press the clip and pull). For higher trim models with seat memory switch and anti-theft indicator connectors, press the clips and disconnect in the same manner.
Use a 10mm socket or corresponding wrench to remove the upper and lower hinge bolts connecting the door to the body. It is recommended to have two people support the door to prevent it from falling suddenly after all bolts are removed.
After removing all hinge bolts, separate the old door assembly from the body. Be careful not to scratch the body paint or door frame edges. Place the old door on a soft surface.
Align the new front left door assembly with the body hinge mounting positions. Push it in and tighten the hinge bolts. Close the door to check for even gaps and smooth operation. If gaps are uneven, adjust hinge positions slightly and re-tighten.
Connect the door panel harness connectors to the body harness, reconnecting the window regulator connector, tweeter connector, welcome light connector, and handle pull ring in sequence. Ensure all clips are fully engaged.
Align the door panel with the door clips and press evenly with your palm until you hear a “click,” indicating proper seating. Then tighten the three retaining screws (10mm socket), and reinstall the inner handle cover, rubber pad, and small notch cover.
Restore vehicle power and test the following functions in sequence: window operation (test all four switches), central locking open/close, mirror adjustment, speaker output, welcome light illumination (if equipped), and door handle touch unlock (if equipped).
Hinge bolts must be tightened to specified torque: Refer to the original repair manual for door hinge bolt torque. Insufficient torque may cause door sag or noise; excessive torque may damage threads.
Door panel clips are fragile: Plastic clips may break during removal. Prepare spare clips in advance. Check clip condition before installation and replace any missing or damaged clips.
Two-person operation recommended: The door assembly is heavy. Single-person operation may cause the door to slip or scratch the paint. Two people are recommended for removal and installation.
