Function/Usage: Sleeve housing for VARIOCON system, designed for connecting cables. When using fiber optics, the bending radii of the cable manufacturers must be observed. The connectors may not be plugged in or disconnected under load. Commission properly functioning products only. Inspect regularly for damage and decommission defective products immediately. Repairs are not possible. Only electrically qualified personnel may install and operate the product. Suitable for applications in plant, controller, and electrical device engineering. For outdoor applications, separate protection against environmental influences is required. Assembled products may not be manipulated or improperly opened. Only use mating connectors specified in the technical data. User is responsible for direct connection with third-party manufacturers. Conductive connector housings must be grounded for operating voltages > 50 V AC. Ensure proper connection of protective or functional ground. Observe corresponding technical data. Use tools recommended by Phoenix Contact. Installation notes/Design In documents must be observed. Use a protective cap for connectors not in use. Operate the connector only when fully plugged in. Ensure tensile load on connectors does not exceed specified limits when laying cable. Observe minimum bending radius of the cable. Lay the cable without twisting. The connector warms up in normal operation; user is responsible for posting warnings if surface temperature rises.
