The SUNTECHMACH STG12AM OGS pipe grooving machine is supplied as a grooving head that can be mounted on an original RIDGID 300 power unit, so it can be used either as a manual roll groover or as an electric pipe grooving machine. The grooving head can also be sold separately. The roll grooving machine is equipped with a powerful 15-ton hydraulic ram in a compact, easy-to-transport unit — one man setup and operation. The grooving head mounts quickly to the 300 power drive and roll set changeout is accomplished in seconds.

Operation Guide

1. Mount the STG12AM grooving head on the RIDGID 300 power drive (or 918 compatible base).
2. Select the roll set for the pipe size (2″-6″ or 8″-12″) and install it.
3. Insert the pipe and align it square to the grooving rolls.
4. Operate the 15-ton hydraulic ram to feed the rolls.
5. Rotate the pipe to form the groove; change roll set if the size changes.
6. Check groove dimensions with a groove gauge.
