T8300C
ICS Triplex Trusted Expander Chassis for structured I/O system
expansion
Identity note: the manufacturer’s official publication identifies the catalog
reference as T8300. The “C” suffix is not independently defined in the official
document reviewed; verify the complete nameplate and hardware
revision before ordering.
Product overview
Built to extend the Trusted I/O architecture
The Trusted Expander Chassis houses Trusted Expander Processors and
Trusted input/output modules. Its Inter-Module Bus backplane
provides the electrical interconnections and services required by
modules installed in an expander chassis. The layout is designed
for orderly system expansion while retaining the connection
architecture required by the Trusted platform.
12 single-width I/O module slots | 2 Expander Processor slots | 20–32 V DC external supply range | 0–60 °C operating temperature |
System role
What the chassis does
▦ Adds I/O capacity Provides positions for up to twelve 30 mm single-width Trusted I/O
modules. | ↔ Connects the backplane The IMB backplane carries the module interconnections and
associated chassis services. | ⚡ Supports redundant power Two external 24 V DC connections supply dual-redundant power to
chassis modules. |

Configuration guidance
Three checks before installation
| 01 | Match software to hardware. The System Configuration Tool layout must match the physical
chassis and module positions. |
| 02 | Verify the interface path. Use the applicable Trusted Expander Interface, Expander Processor
modules and specified cabling. |
| 03 | Confirm addressing and cooling. All three DIP-switch address settings must agree. Allow at least 90
mm between chassis for convection cooling. |
Lifecycle & replacement
No unverified substitute is presented
Official status confirmation required No official discontinuation date, end-of-life notice, direct
successor or form-fit-function replacement for T8300/T8300C was
confirmed in the official sources reviewed. Any substitution should
be treated as an engineered safety-system change. Verify the
complete catalog marking, chassis version, connector arrangement,
associated processor/interface modules, cables, power architecture,
system ID and approved safety configuration.
Model-specific FAQ
Questions buyers should resolve
Is T8300C officially the same catalog number as T8300?The official publication reviewed names the product T8300 and does
not independently define the T8300C suffix. Confirm the actual
nameplate and revision before purchase.
How many modules can the chassis accept?Up to twelve single-width Trusted I/O modules and up to two
single-width Trusted Expander Processors.
Can it be added without other Trusted modules?Do not assume so. The official configuration guidance requires the
appropriate interface, processor arrangement, cabling and a
software layout matching the physical system.
Is there an official drop-in replacement? No official drop-in replacement was confirmed. Compatibility and
safety validation are required for any proposed substitution.
