vapor pressure not exceeding 180 kPa. The instrument can accurately
measure the density of transparent, low-viscosity liquids and is
also suitable for viscous liquids. It is widely used in petroleum,

laboratory testing departments.
Based on GB/T 1884-2000 standard testing conditions, the instrument
uses a constant-temperature water bath system to maintain the
sample at the required temperature, ensuring accurate density
measurement results.

Product Description
The TP655 Petroleum Density Tester is designed for laboratory
determination of petroleum product density using a hydrometer
method under controlled temperature conditions. During operation,
the sample is placed into a density measuring cylinder and heated
in a water bath to the specified temperature. After thermal
equilibrium is reached, the petroleum density meter is inserted
into the sample. The density value is obtained by reading the
hydrometer scale together with the sample temperature.
The instrument adopts microcomputer control technology, integrated
temperature control, automatic stirring system, and illumination
design, providing stable temperature conditions, convenient
operation, and reliable test results.

Working Principle
The TP655 Petroleum Density Tester works according to the
hydrometer measurement method specified in GB/T 1884-2000. The
petroleum sample is placed into the density cylinder and heated in
a controlled water bath until reaching the required test
temperature (normally 20℃ under atmospheric pressure of 101.325
kPa). After the sample temperature becomes stable, a suitable
petroleum hydrometer is placed into the sample. When the hydrometer
floats freely and reaches equilibrium, the density value is
obtained by reading the hydrometer scale and recording the sample
temperature.
