This AB door is specifically designed for high security checkpoints such as airports and customs . The system uses an interlocking mechanism between two doors : when a person passes through the first door after access verification , they enter the passage . The second door also requires verification , and the system checks whether there is anyone inside the passage . The second door will only open when it is confirmed that the passage is empty ( meaning the first door is closed and there is no tailgater ) , achieving zero tailgating at a physical level and greatly enhancing passage security . The device has built in fault self diagnosis and alarm functions for easy daily maintenance . In emergency situations , it triggers fire mode , sounds an alarm , and automatically opens the gate . When power fails , the passage automatically opens , and it closes automatically when power is restored . It also features an audible and visual alarm ( immediate alert for unauthorised entry or tailgating ) , an anti crash function ( the swing arm automatically locks when no opening signal is received ) , and an automatic reset function ( if no passage occurs within 10 seconds after the gate opens , the current permission is cancelled ) . This AB door is an ideal choice for high security areas .
