This custom CNC turned brass valve spool is intended for pneumatic
directional valves used in automated assembly fixtures, where
compressed air must be switched to extend or retract clamping
cylinders during component positioning and fastening operations.
Its stepped lands and circumferential grooves define the spool
geometry and the interfaces with the mating valve body. The
critical checks are the land diameters, groove widths,
concentricity, surface finish and clearance specified on the
drawing.
Brass offers good machinability, but the alloy should be selected
according to working pressure, air or fluid compatibility, wear
conditions and seal materials. Before ordering, provide the
valve-body bore dimensions, operating conditions and required port
arrangement so the spool can be manufactured to the intended fit.
