1. Introduction

The lamphoders pressure apparatus are designed accoding to IEC(BS EN)60238 clause 16.7 figure 9 and GB17935 clause 15.7 figure 9, it is applied to test the mechanical strength of external metal parts (out shell and dome) of metal lampholders, the various parts are tested on the complete lampholder. The pressure is applied on the two diameters at horizontal and vertical direction.
