GE FANUC IC693MDL733 , 12/24 Volt DC Negative Logic 0.5 Amp Output
Module
Product Description
The GE Fanuc IC693MDL733 is a 12/24 volt DC Negative Logic 0.5 Amp
Output module. Specifically engineered to work with the Series
90-30 Programmable Logic Controller, this module has 8 output
points. These points are in a single group that share a common
power output terminal. By design, this output module has negative
logic characteristics. This means that the module sinks current
from the loads to either the user common or else the negative power
bus. As for output characteristics, this module can be used with an
array of load devices, as supplied by the user. For example, the
output module is compatible with indicators, motor starters and
solenoids. The user must supply power in order to operate such
field devices.
On the top of the module there is an LED block, which consists of
two horizontal rows. Each row has eight green LEDs. One row is
labelled A1 and the other B1. As this module only has eight output
points, only A1 is used, with LED points 1 through 8 representing
the ON/OFF status of output points 1 through 8 respectively. This
module does not have any fuses. This is a low-voltage module, as
indicated by the blue color coding on the edge of the insert
between the inner and outer surface of the hinged door. When this
door is closed, the surface on the inside (facing the inside of the
module) has information on circuit wiring. On the outer surface,
circuit identification information can be recorded. During
applications with a Series 90-30 PLC system, users can install this
output module in any I/O slot of a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate.
About IC693MDL733
The GE Fanuc IC693MDL733 module is an I/O module. The IC693MDL733
module is a 12 to 24 Volts DC negative logic and 0.5 Amps rated
output module for the GE Series 90-30 programmable logic
controllers. The IC693MDL733 module provides 8 output points in one
group with a common output terminal. The IC693MDL733 module is
designed and manufactured by the GE Fanuc company. The Series 90-30
I/O modules can be controlled with either a Series 90-30 PLC or
with a personal computer. A Series 90-30 PLC system consists of
either a single baseplate with an embedded CPU (Model 311, 313, or
323), a CPU baseplate with 4 expansion and/or remote baseplates
(model 331, 340, or 341) or a CPU baseplate with up to 7 expansion
and/or remote baseplates (model 350, 351, 352, 360, 363, and 364).
The types of I/O modules available from GE Fanuc include discrete
input modules, discrete output modules, discrete combination
modules, analog input modules, analog output modules, and analog
combination modules. The IC693MDL733 module is a discrete output
module and it is designed to have negative logic characteristics
and it sinks current from the load(s) to the negative power bus or
to the user common bus. The rated voltage for the IC693MDL733
module is 12 to 24 Volts DC. The output voltage range is 12 to 24
Volts DC. There are 8 outputs per module. There is 1500 Volts of
isolation between the field side and logic side. The maximum output
current per point is 0.5 Amps. The module power consumption rating
is 50 milliamps. The IC693MDL733 module requires 5 Volts DC of
power from the backplane.
