FM200 (HFC-227ea) is a colorless, tasteless, non-corrosive, and electrically insulating gas that leaves no residue or pollution after extinguishing. Its Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) is zero, making it an environmentally friendly extinguishing agent. Because of these properties, it is particularly well suited for locations where electrical fires are likely to occur.
Combined with the extinguishing device and electronic accessories, the entire system can be actuated automatically. It monitors the protected area through detectors and can then trigger the extinguishing device via a solenoid actuator automatically. This enables fully automated operation, eliminating the risk of a fire going unnoticed when no one is present and reducing the cost of staffing personnel to supervise the protected area.
Suitable for electronic computer rooms, data processing centers, telecommunications facilities, process control rooms, expensive medical equipment, industrial equipment, libraries, museums and art galleries, clean rooms, anechoic chambers, emergency power facilities, and flammable liquid storage areas.
Also ideal for locations where fire is likely to occur, such as paint-spraying production lines, aging electrical equipment, rolling machines, printing machines, oil switches, oil-immersed transformers, melt impregnating tanks, storage tanks, large generators, drying equipment, cement production processes involving pulverized coal, and ship engine rooms and cargo holds.
The double cabinet type HFC-227ea system is mainly composed of two parts: extinguishing devices and electrical accessories.
Extinguishing devices include the cabinet for housing the extinguishing device, the cylinder for filling and storing FM200, the flexible hose, the solenoid actuator, and related components.
Electrical accessories are used to detect and monitor the entire protected area, control the whole system, warn people to evacuate, and prevent fire expansion.
Together, these two integrated parts efficiently detect, supervise, alarm, and extinguish fires automatically.
