    Annex 3. Process brief description

    Ø KDN-600Y air separation plant adopts completely low pressure process as:

    Ø Raw air enters air filter for removal of dust and other mechanical impurity, then it goes to centrifugal air compressor to be compressed to about 1.1Mpa (indicated on pressure gauge). After that, it goes to precooling unit via oil filter and cooler to be cooled to 8℃,then goes to MS purification system for absorbing of moisture, CO2 and CnHm.

    • After purified, a small part of air is used as bearing gas for gas bearing expansion turbine. Then it goes to the main heat exchanger via gas cooler after being boosted, which is sucked from the middle of heat exchanger to the turbine expansion for refrigeration. After that, it goes back to the heat exchanger from the bottom. It flows out the cold box after being reheated. The other part flows to main heat exchanger for cooling, which is scuked from the bottom of heat exchanger to the bottom of nitrogen column for rectification. After rectification, liquid air rich in oxygen at the bottom and liquid nitrogen on the top can be gained. Liquid air rich in oxygen is cooled by cooler as the cold source of evaporator. Air rich in oxygen in the condenser evaporator flows out of the cold box after being reheated by main heat exchanger, part of which will be the regenerative air of M.S. purifier, and others will be discharged. Liquid nitrogen will be delivered out as production

    Annex 5 Instrument system

    Design principle

    1. It should be able to control and supervise the whole process of the air separation plant to ensure the long stable roperation and easy maintenance.
    2. It is of central control room(DCS) with local control panel and field control to ensure the reliability and advance.

    There are 2 screen operation tables. It has supervision, display, or operation, adjusting, memory start interlock and protecting function.

    1. there is a printer in central control room recoording main parameters in the whole process of production and operation of the workers and system fault if it is over limitation separately.

    Online analyzing room is provided in instrument pane Online analyzing technological data enters DCS system to display , recording, warning, etc.

    Annex 6 Electric control system

    Design principle

    It must be fit for reliable, easy operation and process requirement.

    Motor control , protection and measuring must be in accordance with China relative standards.

    1 way incoming cable for high voltage

    HV motor uses liquid soft starter. Busbar voltage will not less than 85% of it.

    HV system control is protected by computer comprehensive protection measuring control device.

    There is local panel for motor with necessary electric meters and signal and operation element.

    LV power resource has two incoming lines, among which one is as S/B.

    When LV motor start, LV busbar voltage drop will not be lower than 15%.

    Ø MS heater tempt, is regulated by closed-loop power regulation.
